A simple observation: men's briefs and boxers are unsuitable. For decades, men's underwear has been designed as simple panties with a rounded bulge in the front. A simplified, standardized, almost caricatured view of male anatomy.

For years, like you, I wore these standard models without considering their functional shortcomings.

From Idea to Product

It all started with existing boxers and briefs that I... literally sacrificed!

With just a needle and thread and no formal training, I cut, sewed, and tested on my own pieces, transforming them into impromptu prototypes.

The first step was crucial: defining the ideal placement and shape of the front opening of the Sabords boxer shorts. There was no question of half-measures; the real male anatomy had to be respected, without compression or discomfort.

Then came the real challenge: the cover, this discreet cape that protects while offering direct access. Extremely complex to develop, this kind of cape required dozens of tests and adjustments down to the millimeter. Each prototype was worn for extended periods—days, weeks—to validate its comfort in real-world conditions.

An odyssey that lasted three years until industrial production was fully mastered! The day I wore the first finished Sabords, everything changed: it was impossible to go back to traditional underwear; its frontal pressure became unbearable compared to this liberating naturalness.

The Challenges of Independent Development

This kind of long-term development would never have seen the light of day in a large industrial structure. Too risky, too disruptive – such an innovation would call into question their entire range of standardized, easy-to-produce men's underwear.

It took an independent like me, with no prior inclination for this except for my inventive nature, free from hierarchical constraints and the freedom to refine as I pleased. No absurd deadlines, just a desire to create my own boxer shorts and briefs, comfortable and practical men's underwear made with organic cotton for the very first series.

Aesthetically, Sabords looks minimal under trousers: discreet, with a subtle, natural volume.

But for those moments of modesty, tuck everything in and fold down the gusset: poof, more neutral than a form-fitting style. We spend so little time naked in boxer shorts; what matters is inner freedom, finally embracing the male form without restricting it.

 Around thirty different overlays tested, a patent filed, and two years later, a collection unique in the world.
