It was as an autodidact that I got carried away with this somewhat crazy project.

As we are among ourselves, I can tell you why I finally designed a new men's underwear. One day in summer in hot weather, me in underwear, I looked inside, I saw a kind of snail stuck to the testicles, all sweating, all shriveled, a distressing sight. A liberating stroke of the scissors in his boxers and the story began.

A long learning process, constantly modified patterns, long-term fittings, adjustments for each seam, a development that spanned years. and who in passing obtained a patent for invention.

Why Sabords? Portholes are openings in the side of boats, with flaps through which the cannons exit. At the age of 20, I crossed the Atlantic as a crewmate, starting with a huge storm in the Bay of Biscay, with 3 days on the cape (without sail) in force 7/8. Perhaps this is where I understood the complexity of urinating in a moving boat, with both hands caught. Sailors' stories speak of it: the number one cause of accidents at sea occurs when urinating overboard with the helm under autopilot. A nod to the maritime domain which is also the domain of a certain freedom.

After contacting the major brands on the market with my invention patent, and having received no response from them, I made the decision to produce the first series myself and create my own brand. Keeping this discovery secret was inconceivable. I felt the duty to share it with my peers, and with all of humanity.

In terms of manufacturing, my briefs and boxers cost three times more than "classic" men's underwear, due to the increased number of seams. This high manufacturing cost means that Sabords underwear can only be sold online.

Ultimately this obligation to make my mark allowed me to confront the imperatives of industrial textile manufacturing processes and to finally refine the manufacturing process through multiple fittings.

One thing led to another and I improved what already existed, making it a natural evolution of briefs and boxers.

I think that over time my concept will become a standard for men around the world as comfort and practicality are present.

The “modern” man, without realizing it, is in a corset that is often compressive and not at all practical. Innovations sometimes come from someone completely foreign to the field with a fresh perspective without mental barriers.

Don't wait, treat yourself.
