The Day I Cut My Boxer Briefs
Every invention has a beginning. Mine started on an exceptionally hot summer afternoon.

It was an extremely hot summer day.
I was sitting in an armchair when I looked inside my boxer briefs.
My first thought was simple.
"There has to be a better way."
Everything was cramped together—hot, damp and uncomfortable.
To be completely honest, it wasn't a pleasant sight.
The surprising part was that I'd accepted it as normal for my entire life.
Just like most men probably have.
After all, we've all been wearing essentially the same style of men's underwear for decades.
You get used to it.
Eventually, you stop questioning how it feels.
But think about what actually happens inside a conventional pair of boxer briefs.
Everything is held tightly against the body.
Heat builds up.
Moisture builds up.
Movement becomes restricted.
From a hygiene standpoint, it isn't ideal either. After several trips to the restroom throughout the day, it's difficult to imagine the fabric remaining perfectly fresh.
Then one question suddenly crossed my mind.
How did we ever decide this was normal?
That single question changed everything.
Then a remarkably simple idea crossed my mind.
What if the penis simply wasn't kept inside the boxer briefs?
At first, the idea sounded ridiculous.
Then it started to make sense.
I had to find out.
I grabbed an old pair of boxer briefs, picked up a pair of scissors and carefully cut an opening where I believed the base of the penis naturally rested.
The effect was immediate.
I instantly felt cooler.
But that wasn't what surprised me the most.
For the first time, it almost felt as if I wasn't wearing underwear at all.
The boxer briefs were still there.
Nothing looked unusual from the outside.
The pressure was simply gone.
Without being compressed inside a single compartment, everything suddenly felt more natural.
It felt surprisingly close to being naked—while remaining fully supported, protected and discreet.
That moment convinced me I had discovered something worth pursuing.
The concept sounded simple.
Making it actually work was another story.
Finding the perfect position for the opening became an obsession.

With a stretch jersey fabric made of cotton and elastane, moving the opening by only a few millimeters completely changed the result.
Too high.
Too low.
Too narrow.
Too wide.
Nothing worked perfectly.
I lost count of how many boxer briefs I sacrificed searching for the perfect shape, the perfect dimensions and the perfect balance.
I was probably the product's toughest tester.
The slightest discomfort meant starting all over again.
My goal was never to create a strange or gimmicky product.
I wanted to create the boxer briefs I had always wished existed.
That's when I realized something even more important.
Creating an opening was only the beginning.
How could it remain protected?
How could it stay discreet?
How could I preserve that extraordinary feeling of freedom while maintaining the appearance of traditional men's underwear?
Those questions eventually led to the invention of the SABORDS® Cover Flap.
A single component that would require years of research, countless prototypes and continuous refinement before becoming the heart of the patented SABORDS innovation.

And that's where SABORDS truly began.
